When and where

We currently rehearse at the Quarry Hill Campus of Leeds City College between 7 and 9pm on Wednesdays.

Can I join?

Yes, we are always eager to welcome new members. The best time to come along is during one of open rehersals that usually take place at the beginning of a term.

What level of musical knowledge do I need?

We are not an auditioned choir, so none! A willingness to sing is all you need. We learn by both ear and through sheet music and their are a range of abilities across the choir.

What are rehersals like?

We start at 7 and do around 15 minutes of a physical and vocal warmup. We then sing through till around 8pm where we take a ten minute break and then finish at 9pm.

What are your fees?

We have two rates: £20 a month or £10 for those experiencing circumstances which prevent them from paying the standard rate. There is no test for the lower rate, you just can just have a confidential conversation with our treasurer. These fees are how we purchase new music and pay our professionals.

Do you do social events?

Yes, we do lots! Every week after rehersal we visit a local pub. Additionally, our events secretary, often with suggestions from the choir, organises social events throughout the years such as theatre trips, art walks and meals. None of these events are compulsory, you can just attend whatever you feel comfortable with.
